Walked into a restaurant
this hazy afternoon
to nourish my psyche
and there stood
six burly firemen
up from Burbank
to lend their efforts
to our communities.
Within two seconds of recognizing them,
I began weeping.
It was, like, my fifth cry today,
maybe in truth,
even my sixth.
No words.
