The day I moved to NYC to start my adult life (can it actually be 30 years ago??), I got a subscription to #newyorkmagazine and I’ve made sure it’s shown up in my mailbox ever since; culturally relevant, ponderously informative with a stable of great writers. I may have found my humanity and heart when I moved to Northern California, but my head and teeth were definitely, distinctly cut in New York.
